雨の朝に、on a rainy morning

今朝は起きたら雨、ニュースでは週明けにも梅雨入りか、と言っていた。
下の子を連れ駅前Tully'sでラテを飲み、飽きて騒ぎ出したところで退散、近くの森公園に傘と抱っこ紐で散歩に来た。
木が覆い茂る下を歩くと、朝だからか、鳥のさえずりの大合唱で、東京のど真ん中とは思えない静けさ。
やはり日曜日は人間も鳥も朝寝坊なのか？

先々週末は息子の小学校初の運動会。
開会してわりにすぐに息子は踊り、50メートル走を走り、昼少し前にはリレーに出て、午後は玉入れ。
50メートル走は1位だったが、リレーは息子のチームは最下位だった。

息子たちの学年はギリギリ2クラスの
小規模な小学校なのでこじんまりとアットホームな感じの運動会だった。

6年間で2回がノルマのPTAの1回目を片付けるべく引き受けたので、私は運動会から早速手伝いスタート。前日の準備と当日の受付だけやり、当日朝手伝いは下の子が小さいからと断らせていただいた。
みんなお弁当の準備とかもあるのに当日朝手伝いはきついよな〜
菊池桃子発言でその任意性が取り沙汰されているPTA。
多くの親が共働きの昨今、旧態依然のPTAは本当に非合理的なのだが、とはいえその任意性を振りかざし断るのは現実的ではないので、みんなしょうがなくいつかは何らかの役回りを引き受ける。

高学年になればかるほどきつそうなので、次の1回は3年生くらいでやっちまうかな。

先週でインターの仕事が終わり、今週からは次の仕事が始まる。それに加え、在宅のネット関連の仕事が先々週からスタートしたのでなんだかんだ忙しい日々は変わらなそう。

梅雨は嫌だけど雨の緑もよいなぁと思う朝でした。公園出口に来たので家帰りまーす。

On this morning's news, they said the Japan Meteorological Agency may announce that Tokyo is officially in rain season next Monday.  This is something many of us in Japan hate to hear but it comes unexpectedly every year complaining it is too early this year.
Well, we cant fight against the nature, just live with it.

I am taking a morning.walk with Hiroto in a nearby park where birds are chirping. With rain, the greens are beautiful.

Last Saturday was a sports day at Koki's school. Koki danced, raced a 50m run and got the 1st place. His team lost the medley run.
My mom and Toru's parents came and had lunch together (I woke up at 6am to make a big bento box).
Everyone else in a PTA (teacher, parents association) group I belong must have woken up earlier to get to the school for preparation at 7:30am that day. I asked to be excused with Hiroto.

This PTA thing is becoming controversial these days with some actress making a slightly unapproving comment about it. PTA is not mandatory but theres a norm that noone can choose to not participate.
It used to be that 90% of mom were stay home moms and it made sense for them to volunteer to help the school but with more and more moms (and dads) working nowdays, this old system is starting to disfunction making many parents feel stressed about its obligations.

At Koki's school, parents are asked to take an active role at least.twice through a child's 6 year enrollment at school.

Ah Hiroto woke up. Lets head home. Bye for now.
