今年もよろしく、best wishes for 2014

年があっという間に明けました。

喪中でありながら例年より年越しが

それらしかった気もしないでもない。

クリスマスもやり、年越し蕎麦も

食べ、年明け２日には私の家族、

親戚と集まった。

さーて、今年は人生最大？のプロ

ジェクト、我が家が夏前には建ち

上がる予定！

去年中に設計図は固まり、

お国の建築申請に出し、

今は設計士さんと工務店を絞り込み、

銀行に財務審査を進めてもらい

ながら細かい仕様などを旦那と検討

中。

（これを建築用語でValue Engineering

というらしい）

キッチンは去年中に一度相談に行き、

見積もりを貰ったIKEAになりそう。

理由は国内メーカーよりデザイン

性もコスト面も優れているから。

ただ、北欧仕様なのでシンクなど

一部要検討部分あり。

ガスレンジ・ガスオーブン、トイレや

エアコン、

お風呂（二人ともこだわりゼロ、

早風呂家族なのでフルユニット

バス）は自分で探しておそらくネット

で購入（これが一番安い）。

脱衣所とトイレの洗面・収納は廉価に

IKEAでまとめる。

とにかくローコスト住宅の極みなので

自分で探してきて購入が基本。

建築家との家づくりはそうゆう要素を

楽しめないとキツイかもしれない。

今年は仕事もそろそろ次のレベルに

持ってく何かをしたい、と思う。

* 書く英語レベルをビジネス文書

レベルから報告書レベルに

* 話す英語を逐次に毛が生えたレベル

からほぼ同時レベルに

進めたいなぁ…

書く英語を上達させるにはやはり

毎日英字新聞を読んだり、

実際ボスが書いた報告書を読んだり

することくらいしか思いつかないが、

通訳の方はこの間サイマルだが日米

だったかのオンライン通訳3カ月

コースを見つけたので

受けてみるかな…

と、新年の抱負を書いてみた。

さーて来年の今頃どうなってるか？

joy and happiness in year 2014!

From Christmas to New Year, 

we had lots of company with family

members gathering and it made me

feel more of a holiday essence than

past few years 

although we are still in grief of Toru's 

grandma.

We will pay a visit to the cemetery 

this weekend, one year has passed

since she passed away.

This year, we have a big project coming

up before the summer. 

Our house will be put up in Tokyo!!

Our three story house is now going through a government's strict authorization process (to ensure the

house can resist against fires and 

certain level of earthquakes).

Along the side, we are working on

what's called Value Engineering which

determines the details of our house

such as appliances, kitchen, etc.

At this point, our kitchen will likely

be IKEA except for electronic 

appliances which

we will probably order domestic 

maker's through internet.

Almost every appliance we will

search and buy online ourselves

which can save lots of money than

buying through a construction

company which many people do

when they buy a house through a

HM(home maker, we call a big

home builder such as Sekisui, 

Mitsui etc. a home maker).

My job career wise,

I'd like to give it a notch.

I'd like to bring my writing level (English)

to a report writing level,

and interpretation to a semi-simultaneous level.

That's my new year resolution.

We'll see what I will write in a year from 

now.
