新しい生活、a new life style

今週に入り９時に送り１１時にお迎えの日々を送っとります。

片道自転車で１２、３分の道のりの往復はかなりの運動で、
もう体育館いったり早朝ランニング必要ないかも。。。

でも季節が良い今はいいけど、梅雨や真夏、真冬は時間が
早すぎるけどバスにするかな、と思い出した。

入園式で配られたプリントに細々と決まりが書いてあるのにも
面食らったが 、今月いっぱいは慣らしで１１時お迎え（鬼早！）
というのも入ってからの初耳で更に面食らった。。。

そんなんで１２時お迎えの算段で入れてしまっていた水曜１０時の
打ち合わせを急遽昨日午後に再調整し、

９時送り、１１時迎え、１２時お昼、１３時近くの保育ママさん

の強行スケジュールで動いた。
２週目ですでに幼稚園生活の洗練を受けたのであった。。。

でも、意外に始まってみるとこの新しい生活にも少しずつ馴染み、
午前は保育園、午後は近くの公園、という生活も悪くない。
一番は保育園に１０−１７で行っていた息子が９−１１の幼稚園
生活を大いに満喫していること。

長時間家庭外で過ごす生活に慣れているからといって、息子自身の
気持の中でそれがベストというわけじゃなく、
同い年の子より大人びた息子でもやはりまだ3歳児で、
早く家に帰って来て午後は母親と公園に行けることが嬉しい、
ということが、
当たり前のようで、でも私には結構な驚きだった。
（母親失格か？）

昨夜は保育園が一緒だった＆家が近所のコウくん＆カイちゃんと
私が仕事から戻った後遊んだ。
息子は幼馴染みがみんな女子で、プリキュアやお人形さんごっこも
全然イケるタイプだが（すぐ闘うけど。。）、
やはり男の子と遊んでると本領発揮で楽しそう。

幼稚園で新しく男の子の友達ができるかな。

 So far Koki is enjoying his new life at his kindergarten.
The fact that the school has a playground for him to play
(due to limited space, usually pre schools or day cares
don't have playground in central Tokyo) is enough for
him to enjoy the school life.

For me, school announcing a 11AM pickup instead of
previously announced (or maybe it was never officially
announced after all... only in my head?) noon pickup
all through April screwed up my schedule a bit.
I was made to move my meeting at 10AM on Wed to
2PM Friday, reserve a spot at a day care for a short stay,
hassle through a tight schedule (not to mention making
Koki run around with me) due to this change,
but as always, I am sure if given time everything will start
sinking into our life only if slowly.

What really opened my eyes was the fact that Koki's
used to spending his time at day care from 10-17 everyday
does not mean he enjoyed that life style fully...
Of course, he loves to play with his friends, but with this new
life style, morning at a kindergarten afternoon at home or
a park, he confided that he enjoys it better.

After all, no matter how well behaved he is for a 3 year old,
he is yet a 3 year old.

For this, I am glad that we moved him to a kindergarten and
I am thankful that I am able to work from home on a flexible
time basis.

Last night we were out with Koki's boy friends from day
care time and their moms for dinner.
Koki has grown up with mostly girls around him outside
day care and he has so far been coping with girls' play,
but seeing him play with 2 boys made me realize he is
really a boy after all and he loves to play hard.
