ウルトラマン, Ultraman

ここ数日涼しく暮らしやすい日が続いていますが、
いかがお過ごしですか？

私は、といえば、
在宅仕事に切り替え、２つのうち１つをやめ、
梅雨入りあたりからスッカリ主婦に毛が生えた程度の
存在となりつつあります。

そんな開店休業状態の身分で、
息子を保育園にあずけ、ノンビリやっているこの生活に
罪悪感を感じながらも、

いつ突然忙しくなるかも分からないし、

アメリカでは子供の教育＆社会生活のために保育園に入れるというし、

息子も友達との生活を楽しんでいるようだし、

来春からはどうせ幼稚園に移るし、

と自分に言い訳をする毎日でございます。


週末は蒲田にあるリハビリセンターに旦那の祖母に会いに行った後、

川崎のラゾーナにあるウルトラマンベースに息子を連れて行った。

ボールプールやトランポリンでは他の子に交じり満喫していたが、
ショーが始まると、走り出て来たワルモノを見るや逃げた。

イイモノのウルトラマンさえ遠巻きでも怖いようだった。


「たくさん食べてベンキョーしてウルトラマンになる」

そうです。

He loved playing in a ball pool or tranpolin, but he cried at
a sight of a bad guy coming out on a stage on a hero show.

The other night I was watching a late night TV program
that was showing a preview of a documentary file called
 "Nursery University".

It was about parents in the richest area of New York trying to get
 their kids into the best nursery school in the neighborhood.

I heard a bit about this in LA as well, how good school has a long
waiting list to get in,
but to see it real, it was surprising how any metropolitan city
is experiencing a similar phenomenon.

The only difference is,
in Tokyo, parents try to get their kids into public nursery schools
where in NY, most parents try for expensive private schools.

It think this difference is from the fact that,

1. in Tokyo, kids go to nursery schools to be taken care of on behalf
of their parents who work,

2. in NY, many rich kids go to nursery schools for educational or social purpose,

though, there are certain (rich) areas in Tokyo where parents enter
their kids into expensive nursery schools for the same reason as NY parents,
but they are usually non Japanese parents and international schools.
