昨日はお昼に旦那のお母さんの誕生日を祝うため
横浜中華街にいってきた。
萬珍楼の点心舗という点心がメインのお店にいった
のだが、どれもとーーっても美味しかった！
義父おすすめのかめ出し紹興酒も。
そして、もと神奈川県民の私としては横浜が懐かしい！

東京に越してから全然いってないが、
高校も大学１、２年時のキャンパスも横浜だった
ため、桜木町、関内、元町、中華街エリアは
友達と会ったり、バイトしたりしていたエリア
なので、本当によく通っていた思い出の地。

今やAppleは技術センターを敷く予定、
山下埠頭にはカジノ構想があり、
もりあがっている横浜。
その中でもみなとみらいの勢いはすごい。
私が学生だった頃はランドマーク、ロイヤルパーク
ハイヤット、インターコンチ、国際展示場くらいしかなく
雑然としていたあの地も、
その後続々と商業施設が増え、
赤煉瓦も解放され（昔は入れなかった） 、
今後はこれまでなかった高層マンションの建築も
予定されているらしく、
今後更に盛り上がりそう。

今朝うちの母にひさびさに電話をしたら
先々月父に３姉妹でプレゼントしたAndroidの
タブレットが、使われないままになっていること、
父が軽い肺炎にかかり来週検査なこと、
を知り、ちょうど息子も春休みにはいるし、
今月末あたり一度実家にいこうと思っている。

肺炎はひどくないし、もうほとんど治っているらしいの
だが、父ももう８０近いし大事にこしたことはない。

東京と神奈川、近いようで遠い。
最近つくづく両親がもう少し近くに住んでいればな、と
思う。あとは、うちに車があれば。

Yesterday, we took Minato Mirai Line  and went to
China Town in Yokohama to celebrate Toru's mom's
birthday which is tomorrow.
Restaurant we went specialized in dim sum and
with 6 adults and 2 children,
we ordered many different dishes and enjoyed.
Food was very good.

Yokohama is an area that sits between my home town
and Tokyo and is a very popular sightseeing destination
for not only travelers from outside Japan but also many
Japanese who live outside Yokohama.
My high school and freshman to sophomore college campus
were in Yokohama, so I used to hang out in this area all the
time and it was very reminiscent.
I studied, had part time jobs, had dates, and had many
coffees and teas with my friends in Yokohama back in these
days.

Minato Mirai is one part of Yokohama which is booming
recently. Back when I was hanging out in Yokohama,
there were only several buildings and not much to do in the
area except you worked there or attended an international
convention or something, but recently the development
has picked up its pace and now it is a big urban shopping
area mixed with business buildings.

Apple will base their research center in this area as early as
this spring and there is a talk about building a casino in
the nearby area (Yamashita Harbor).

Yokohama is really booming.
