今週から、Obon break coming up!

Morning break at Starbukcs

とうとう今週後半からお盆休みスタートの我が家。
私は一歩先に今日仕事いくと、次は8月末。
間空きすぎの感も否めないがボスが国内にいなくなる
からしょうがない。

今朝は子供の送りの関係で、1時間前に六本木についた
のでひさびさにスタバでコーヒー飲んでから出社。
朝のミッドタウンスタバはゆったりしていていつもよいが、
今朝はすでき半分お盆モードぽく人も少なくさらに
ゆったりしてた。

気づけば夏休みも折り返し地点すぎた。
自由研究と読書感想文というビッグな宿題ピースが2つ
残っており、なんとなく休みを100%満喫できない
我が子である。

しっかし、脱ゆとりだか知らんが小1から宿題が多すぎる！！
こんなに宿題ばかりじゃ、勉強好きになれない気がする
のだが、、日本も9月が新学期になって
夏休みは宿題なくならないかな〜

来週はお盆休みメイン。
息子と幼稚園の頃から約束しているUSJで今度はドラゴン
ボールのアトラクションがあるらしく、
前回の妖怪ウォッチのときはいけなかったから、
今回は連れて行ってやらなきゃと思い、来週あたり大混雑
を覚悟でいくか、と検討中。

あんまり縁のない関西だが、赤子連れだし、USJだけ行き
トンボ帰りだな、おそらく。
関西暑いんだろうなぁ。

We are in 2nd week of August already, half way through
Koki's summer break. Koki still had two big chunk of
homework left to be done.
He complains with so much homework it is not really a
break, just a non school period.
I dont understand why the school make the first graders
study so much. They should play, that is part of their duty.

Our family break startz this week with me starting
tomorrow with Koki, then Hiroto and Toru from Thursday.

Koki made a swimming debut this year and though he
showed fear for going under water at the beginning,
he gradually got used to it and now he can dive, kick etc.
He had 4 day intensive swimming lesson starting tomorrow.

I saw fewer crowd on train and at a Starbucks this morning
so some people probably started their break already.

Summer is really hot in Tokyo sometimes hitting 95F in
this concrete surrounding. And with so much humidity,
the heat really takes away your energy.
But once inside so chilly with aircon in full blowing mode,
it can drive your body crazy.
I try to wear long sleeves even in summer to avoid getting
sick from this temperture difference.

Nexy week, we are planning to either drive or take a bullet
train(shinkansen) to Osaka to take Koki to Universal Studio
Japan where he is looking forward to Dragon Ball attraction.
Osaka is in west pary of Japan and is supposed to be
hotter than Tokyo.

And yes, we have Universal Studio in Japan.
We also have Disneyland in Chiba (next to Tokyo) .
Recently USJ attracts more visitors than Disneyland.

The question is, is there vacancy at hotel and shinkansen,,,
