旦那はすでに週明けから。
海が大好きな息子をリアル海に連れて行く計画をしていたのに、週明け熱。昨日朝には平熱になっていたけど、小児科では扁桃腺が赤いと言われた。今朝は超元気で、室内ではパワーを持て余し気味。
明日は祖母の新盆。朝の９時から鎌倉の祖母宅で行われるらしい。
起きられたら私だけもいこうかなと思う。
今年は節電やら何やらで盆踊りや花火大会も自粛が多い。
が、やはりお盆はお盆。息子の体調を見ながら、しばらく行ってない両実家に顔を出したり、それらしく過ごそうと思う。

It easily goes up to 35 C degree in AM and stays at that until late PM.
Because Tokyo has so many sky scrapers which run tons of air conditioning all day long, heat produced from them along with that from sun get caught inside the city, a heat island phenomenon.
Due to power shortage, everyone is saving on electricity and especially business entities are enforced by law to save electricity by specific figure.
Some companies have early start early leave or late start late leave schedule for employees to avoid electricity usage during the peak hours. My workplace doesn't have it and I work from 10 am to 5 pm sweating, a fan in my left hand, mouse in my right hand, iced water on my desk.
Well, we all need to do what we can.
My short obon break starts today. Toru's started from this Monday already.
We have been meaning to take Koki to a "real" beach during this break, but just before it starts, he comes down with fever. His fever is gone this morning and playing hard inside.
Due to power shortage and abstaining atmosphere from 311 disaster, many festivals and firework events are cancelled this year. Too bad. I am sure people in disaster area need them more than anyone else to forget about 311 even if it is just for a while.
We plan to go see both of our parents, we haven't seen them in a while (especially my parents who don't drive any more). Tomorrow morning, I might pay a visit to my grandma's house to participate in nee bon (new bon) ritual to welcome back my grandma (this is Buddhism ritual to welcome back ancestors; it is new for my grandma because this is the first bon she experiences after her death in March this year).
This is a typical Japanese obon break.
