Soccer game

日曜は上の子の初サッカー試合で、区内の小学校で３試合。1、2、3と場数を踏むにつれ試合に子供たちは徐々になれていき、3試合目には初勝利♪

それにしても、同じ1年生なのに上手い子が他チームにはたくさんいて驚いた。
うちの息子なんて幼稚園からやってるのにルールもろくろく分かってないのに、この違いはなんだろ．．．

最初は金切り声で応援する他チームのお母さん方に引いたが、3試合目には気持ちが分かりだした。

いけー！

となってしまうんですねぇ、親というのは 、私も3試合目にはしっかりなっとりました。

息子は一度戻って荷物を置き、お風呂を浴びると、同じ学校・同じクラス・同じ学童・同じサッカーの仲良しのお家で夕飯をご馳走になってきた。

小学校生活を1年からフルに謳歌していて、なかなかうらやましいわ。

今の時代は学年が上がるに連れ、やれ塾だ、やれ他の習い事と、バラバラになってしまうのが早いから、今のうちだなぁ、とあらためて思った。

今は目先のことにとらわれて、PTAとか学童の係、サッカーの引率やらと、めんどくさいことずくめな感じがするが、
ふと子供のことでわさわさしてるのも、後から振り返るときっとほんの一時期なんだろうな、と思った。

On Sunday, Koki and his team mates played against 3 other teams. It was their first time playing outside their own team. On the first match, Koki and his team were overwhelmed, lost 0-2 but one by one they got used to the game and on their last game they won by 1-0.

It was amazing to see those kids' learning curve.

Koki had so much fun with his friends. At the end that matters the most, having fun.

Besides soccer, Koki seems to be doing well at school and his HAIKU got picked to be in a collection of HAIKU published by a prefecture Gifu. His drawing got picked to be exhibited at a public (ward) museum.

Both Toru and I were surprised to find Koki flourish in such department because he always struggle with Japanese homework and marvellously excelled at math making us believe he is more of math/science type.

He also shows interest in music and dance, playing a pianca (a small piano played by blowing into a tube connected to the piano part, something every child in Japan learns at school), so I figured it is too early for us to fixate his talent.

Theres no ceiling for a child, anything is possible!!
